Terms and Conditions

This page tells you all about the terms and conditions that apply when you use TagandFile, a service of Cambridge Data Ltd.. These conditions apply equally whether you are a registered user or are downloading files that have been shared with you by a registered user.

By using TagandFile, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you have any questions, please contact info@tagandfile.com.

Note: It is likely that these terms and conditions will change if and when TagandFile becomes a full production service.

General Rules

  1. You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.
  2. If you sign-up for TagandFile, an account will be created, which includes a username and password. You are responsible for keeping your password secret. In the unfortunate event that your password has been disclosed to a third party, you must contact Cambridge Data immediately.
  3. If have an account, you will have an e-mail address associated with it. TagandFile provides the ability to change this e-mail address; you are responsible for keeping it current to ensure we can communicate with you.
  4. You must not use TagandFile for immoral or illegal purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, harrassing or spamming other users of the service.
  5. You must not attempt to use TagandFile for anything other than its intended purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, hacking, cracking, or otherwise attempting to violate the security of TagandFile.
  6. You are responsible for all the content you upload to TagandFile. You must have legal permission to use it. This includes all copyrights and other legal rights as appropriate.
  7. You must not use TagandFile to store viruses or other malware.
  8. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. If we do this, we will either notify you next time you log in, or tell you via e-mail. You have the right to terminate your use of TagandFile at this time.

Data Privacy, Security and Safety

  1. Cambridge Data does not make any guarantees about the safety or security of the data you upload, or the availability of TagandFile. You are currently advised not to store sensitive or confidential information, and to keep backups of your data.
  2. TagandFile is still a beta service. Some functionality may be missing, incomplete, or faulty. You warrant that you understand this and the risks involved.
  3. Cambridge Data reserves the right to alter or remove the TagandFile service at any time, or prevent your usage of it, at our sole discretion. In this event, we may make reasonable attempts to allow you to download data you have stored, but this is at our discretion.
  4. Cambridge Data reserves the right to alter or remove data stored on the service, particularly if we determine that it breaks the law or is otherwise damaging to our business.
  5. Currently, TagandFile is free to use (although you are responsible for your internet access charges). We reserve the right to alter TagandFile later to include paid-for features, or to charge for TagandFile. If this happens, we will notify you by changing our terms and conditions.
  6. Cambridge Data will never pass your details, including your e-mail address, to third parties without your permission, except where we are legally required to do so. This does not apply where you have given implicit or explicit permission for your details to be shared - for example, when you share a file.
  7. From time to time, Cambridge Data may contact you with marketing information or questions. If you do not wish to receive this information, please let us know.
